Michael Straus: Saxophones Per Bloland: Electronics & Film Projection Join saxophonist Michael Straus and special guest composer/sound artist Per Bloland for the hard hitting multimedia event What are you looking at? Through a blend of free improvisational forms, film and electronic media, this event promises to excite even the most adventurous audiences.

The master of bari sax. You've heard him with Tom Waits; you've seen him on the Letterman show. Now you can see him in a rare Bay Area appearance! On the bill in various configurations are Myles Boissen on guitar and electric bass, and Scott Amendola on drums. This is definitely the night for jazz buffs.

The Group is an enacted self-empowerment workshop that combines a charismatic leader with an immersive and innovative audio experience. Inspired by the largely American tradition of packaging and selling self-empowerment, from EST and the Landmark Forum to Norman Vincent Peale and The Secret, The Group takes its audience on a savagely funny headphones-guided "soul journey" and illustrates the negative potential of positive thinking.
